I know it is trivial…but I get a little bothered when publications call projects with their own blockchain a token. People tend to interchange “token” and “coin” and that’s fine, most people are simply ignorant. But publications should know better.
A token is a project that runs on someone else’s block chain, i.e. projects that use Ethereum are tokens. ETN may be a fork of Monero, but it runs on its’ own chain which makes it a coin.
It’s one of those little irritations that causes me to not want to read some articles that don’t understand that. It makes me question their knowledge of the entire crypto topic.
