Another way of acquiring unsuspecting users could be to partner with retail outlets that use iBeacons in their stores, venues, airports etc. iBeacons send notifications to your phone via bluetooth from proximity sensors as you walk past. The notifications contain a call-to-action, such as downloading an app or going to a website.
Just to follow up. I’ve never received a notification from an iBeacon so I don’t know how widely used they are, if at all.

Never heard of this in Ikea, but surely within the Electroneum app a similar integration can occur when one is in the vicinity of services/vendors that accept ETN. I know the Vendor Directory is due to launch at some point this year.
